I’m the Problem, It’s Me; Leadership, Self-pressure, and Letting Go of What Isn’t Yours

With Katherine Tilley, Founder, The Workjoy Company

Time: 1:30 - 2:45 PM

Length: 1.25 hours

Session Description

Many women leaders don’t burn out because they don’t care — they burn out because they care too much.

This interactive breakout explores how internal pressure, over-responsibility, and unspoken expectations shape how women lead, work, and carry stress. Often, the greatest strain doesn’t come from the job itself — but from the stories leaders tell themselves about what they should be able to handle.

Through reflection and conversation, participants examine where they may be holding too much, absorbing stress that isn’t theirs, or equating leadership with endurance. The session introduces boundaries, awareness, and self-compassion as leadership skills — not personal shortcomings.

This is not a session about fixing yourself.
It’s about releasing unrealistic expectations and leading with more clarity and ease.
