Kath Tilley is the founder of The Workjoy Company, bringing more than 20 years of leadership experience across hospitality, tourism, and service-driven organizations. Her work is grounded in one core belief: workplaces can — and should — be a source of stability, connection, and wellbeing.
Kath’s leadership journey began on the front lines and evolved through operational leadership and human resources roles in environments ranging from multi-unit adventure and tourism businesses to full-service hospitality organizations. Along the way, she has led strategic, performance, and culture initiatives shaped by real-world pressure, constant change, and the human demands of service work.
Known for her practical, grounded approach, Kath works through a psychological safety lens — examining how leadership behaviours, systems, and expectations shape trust, wellbeing, and performance. At Workjoy, she partners with leadership teams to turn insight into practical, implementable systems and skills that strengthen psychological health and safety and make leadership feel lighter.
Kath’s approach is grounded in lived leadership experience and supported by training in business strategy, leadership, and workplace mental wellbeing, including multiple certifications through the Mental Health Commission of Canada. She blends business strategy and humanity at every step — helping organizations lead and work more sustainably.
